Terms and Privacy

One document for the Essential, Enhanced, Pro and Teams plans: the short version, key words, Part 1 the terms of use, Part 2 privacy. It replaces all earlier Linkist terms of service and privacy policies.

Version 1.0, effective 7 September 2026. Issued by RatioX Labs DWC-LLC and reproduced here in full.

For the Essential, Enhanced, Pro and Teams plans. Version 1.0. Effective date: [07 September 2026].

Published at linkist.ai/legal. Part 2 (Privacy) is also published on its own at linkist.ai/privacy.

This version replaces all earlier Linkist terms of service and privacy policies.

The short version

  • Linkist is a tool. You decide what you share, whom you collect, and what you do with it.
  • You are responsible for collecting other people’s details fairly and lawfully, and for any messages you send.
  • We look after your data, keep it secure, and never sell it.
  • AI features are off until you switch them on. Always check AI suggestions before you rely on them.
  • Paid plans renew automatically. You can cancel any time; cancelling stops the next payment. We do not refund payments already made, except in the few cases listed in section 12.
  • On the Teams plan, the company is responsible for its team. Contacts saved to the team stay with the company when someone leaves. Personal contacts stay with the person.
  • You can see, download, correct or delete your data. Section P11 explains how.

This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are what apply.

Part 1: Terms of use

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to everyone who uses Linkist on the Essential, Enhanced, Pro or Teams plan, and to anyone who buys a Card. By creating an account, joining a team, buying a plan or Card, or using Linkist, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Linkist.

Linkist Enterprise is sold under a separate signed agreement.

2. Our plans

EnhancedIndividuals who want more features than EssentialPaid, monthly or yearly, as shown on the Pricing page
ProIndividuals who manage professional relationships, with AI featuresPaid, monthly or yearly, as shown on the Pricing page

What each plan includes, and its limits, are shown on the Pricing page.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18.
  • One account is for one person. Do not share your login or let someone else use your account.
  • Keep your email, phone, passcodes and devices secure. Tell us at support@linkist.ai if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • Your profile address (handle) is for your use while your account is active; you do not own it. We may change or take back a handle that is misleading, copies a brand or another person, or is left unused after an account closes.

4. What Linkist is, and is not

Linkist is a platform that gives you tools to share your profile, save contacts and get AI suggestions. We do not check that profiles are accurate or that users are who they say they are. We are not part of any relationship, meeting or deal between users, and we do not give legal, financial or employment advice. We do not send messages to your contacts unless you tell us to send a specific message.

5. Who is responsible for what

6. Your content

You own what you put into Linkist. You allow us to store, display and process it only to run, protect, support and improve Linkist, as described in Part 2. You must have the right to use everything you upload, including photos and logos. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

7. Contacts you collect

When you save, scan, import or collect details about another person, you decide how those details are used, and you are responsible for that. You must:

  • have a fair and lawful reason to collect and keep them;
  • tell the person, where the law requires, that you hold their details or have used AI features on them;
  • use them only for professional follow-up that the person would expect;
  • not add them to marketing lists or send them bulk messages without their consent.

If someone asks us directly about their details in your account, we may delete what Linkist itself added (such as AI results), pass the request to you, and restrict or delete the data if the law requires it and you do not act.

8. Rules of use

Do not use Linkist to:

  • break the law, or pretend to be someone else;
  • publish false, offensive, harassing or infringing content;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk messages;
  • collect, copy, sell or share other people’s data for purposes they would not expect;
  • track or build profiles of people, or make hiring, lending, insurance or similar decisions based only on Linkist;
  • upload sensitive data such as health, bank account, ID document, religious or children’s data;
  • attack, overload, copy or get around the limits of Linkist, or use bots to extract data;
  • write your profile link onto a card or tag that is not yours.

9. AI features

  • AI features are off until you switch them on, and you can switch them off at any time.
  • They may add public business information to your contacts, summarise relationships, score relevance and suggest follow-ups or introductions.
  • AI can be wrong. Check suggestions before you rely on them. Messages drafted by AI become your messages when you send them.
  • Information about companies (for example, a company’s website or industry) may be reused for all Linkist users. Information about individual people stays in your account and is not shared with other users.
  • We only use information from public business sources, from users, and from data providers we have an agreement with.
  • We do not let our AI providers use your data to train their own general AI models.

10. Fair use and Credits

AI features use Credits. Your plan’s monthly Credits are shown on the Pricing page. Unused Credits do not roll over and have no cash value. "Unlimited" features are for normal professional use by one person. Sharing an account, using bots, or using far more than normal may lead us to contact you, slow down or pause the feature. We will contact you first, except where there is a security risk.

11. Sharing your profile and collecting contacts

  • Anyone with your link, QR code or Card can see the parts of your profile you make public. You choose what is public.
  • Visitors can choose to send you their details. They are told that their details go to you. Use them only for the follow-up they would expect.
  • We do not send marketing or automatic Linkist invitations to your Visitors or contacts.
  • You can see how often your profile is opened, the city and the device type. You cannot see who opened it unless they send you their details.
  • When you save a contact to your phone or send it to another app, that copy is your responsibility.

12. Payments, renewal and cancellation

  • Prices are shown on the Pricing page and at checkout. Taxes are added where they apply. Payments are handled by our payment provider.
  • Paid plans renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel. For yearly plans we remind you at least 30 days before renewal.
  • You can cancel any time in Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • We do not refund payments already made, including for unused time or seats, except: where the law requires a refund; where we close the service or your account for a reason that is not your fault; or where we remove a main feature of your paid plan and you cancel within 30 days. In those cases we refund the unused part.
  • We tell you at least 30 days before a price increase. It applies from your next renewal.
  • If a payment fails, we will remind you. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, we may move you to the Essential plan or pause the team. Your data is not deleted because a payment failed.
  • If your paid plan ends, you move to Essential. Your profile and contacts stay; paid features stop.

13. The Teams plan

This section applies in addition to the rest of these terms when a company buys Teams.

13.1 Who agrees

The person who buys Teams agrees to these terms for the company and confirms they are allowed to do so. The company is then responsible for everyone it adds to its team. Each team member also agrees to these terms personally when they join.

13.2 Roles

RoleWhoWhat they do and are responsible for
The companyThe organisation that paysPays for Teams. Responsible for everything its people do in Linkist. Decides how team contacts are used.
Account OwnerThe person who bought Teams, or their replacementManages billing, plan and seats. Appoints and removes Team Admins. Names a replacement before leaving the company.
Team AdminAppointed by the Account OwnerAdds and removes members. Tells members what the company can see. Removes access when someone leaves. Manages Team Cards.
MemberInvited by a Team AdminUses Linkist under these terms and the company’s rules.
LinkistUsRuns and secures Teams. Looks after team contacts only as the company instructs. Keeps a log of admin actions. Provides support.

13.3 Adding and removing members

  • Only Team Admins can add members. The company confirms it is allowed to give us each invited person’s email.
  • Team Admins can remove a member at any time. Access ends straight away.
  • When a member is removed: team contacts stay with the company; the member keeps their own account and personal contacts; their Team Card can be switched off or pointed to a company page.
  • Disagreements between the company and a member about contacts or Cards are for them to settle. We follow the company’s lawful instructions for team contacts.

13.4 Team contacts and personal contacts

Contacts collected with a Team Business Card, created in the team space, or shared into it are team contacts. Everything else is personal contacts. The app shows members where each contact is saved. Team Admins cannot see personal contacts. If the company wants all work contacts saved to the team, it must tell members before they join.

13.5 Seats and payment

Teams is paid yearly in advance. Seats added during the year are charged for the rest of that year. Seats removed stay paid until renewal. Section 12 applies to renewal, cancellation and refunds. When cancelled, the team runs until the end of the paid year.

13.6 When a team ends

The team space becomes read-only for 30 days so Team Admins can download team contacts. We then delete them, except what we must keep by law. Members keep their own accounts.

13.7 How we handle the company’s team data

Team contacts belong to the company. The company decides how they are used. We only store and process them to run Teams, and only as the company instructs through the app.

Some data we look after ourselves, and we are directly responsible for it. This is: login and billing details; security records; each member’s own account and personal contacts; and general information about companies (not people) that we use for all users.

For team contacts, we will:

  • keep them confidential and secure;
  • use other companies only where needed to run Linkist. They are listed at linkist.ai/legal/providers. We will email the Account Owner at least 14 days before adding a new one. If the company has a genuine privacy concern about it, it can cancel and receive a refund for the unused months. We remain responsible for their work as if it were our own;
  • move data between countries only with the protections the law requires;
  • help the company answer people’s requests about their data;
  • tell the company within 48 hours of finding a data breach that affects team contacts;
  • delete team contacts when the team ends, as described in 13.6;
  • answer one reasonable security questionnaire a year.

14. Cards, Card Writer and your own NFC tags

  • A Card opens your profile. It works only while your account is active.
  • You are responsible for the names, titles and logos printed on your Card, and for checking your proof before printing.
  • You can change or cancel an order within 24 hours. After printing starts, it may not be possible.
  • Tell us about a faulty, damaged or wrong Card within 7 days of delivery, or longer where the law allows. We will replace it or refund it.
  • We are not responsible for wear, bending, heat, phone cases, or phones that cannot read NFC.
  • Switch off a lost Card in the app straight away. Replacements are charged unless the loss was our fault.
  • Card Writer and your own tags: only write your profile link onto cards or tags you own. Never write onto bank, payment, access, transport or ID cards. Writing may erase what was on the tag. Locking a tag is permanent. We are not responsible for tags damaged or locked when you write them.
  • Cards and tags can be copied. Do not use them for payment, door access or proving identity.
  • If your account closes, your Card link shows a page saying the profile is unavailable. We never use it for advertising.

15. Pausing or closing accounts

We may pause or close an account, or a feature, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, put people or data at risk, do not pay, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. You can close your account at any time in Settings. Before closing, you can download your data.

16. Our responsibility and its limits

We work hard to keep Linkist running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, that NFC will work on every phone, or that AI suggestions will be correct.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for fraud, serious or deliberate wrongdoing, injury caused by our negligence, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit. It also does not remove rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Otherwise: we are not responsible for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, or for losses caused by your content, your contacts, your messages, your decisions, or services we do not control. Our total responsibility to you in any 12 months is limited to the greater of what you paid us in those 12 months or USD 100.

17. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, how you collected or used contacts, messages you sent, or your breach of these terms, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses, except where we caused the problem. On the Teams plan, the company is responsible for claims caused by its members.

18. Changes to these terms

We will email you at least 30 days before a significant change. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it applies. Changes that make things worse for a paying customer apply from the next renewal, unless the law requires an earlier change.

19. Law and disputes

Please contact support@linkist.ai first; we aim to resolve complaints within 30 days.

Because Linkist is run from Dubai, these terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in Dubai, and disputes may be taken to the courts of Dubai. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows.

20. General

  • Accepting online or by electronic signature is binding.
  • If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Linkist. We will tell you.
  • Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside our control.
  • Contact: support@linkist.ai. RatioX Labs DWC-LLC, Dubai South Business Park, Building A3, 3rd Floor, Dubai South, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Part 2: Privacy

This part explains what personal data we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to all plans, and also to Visitors and to people whose details a user has saved in Linkist. Where the law of your country gives you more protection, you have that protection.

P2. What we collect

  • Account: name, email, phone, login and passcode records, country and settings.
  • Profile: job title, company, photo, logo, bio, website and social links.
  • Contacts and notes: contacts you save, scan or import; where you met; notes, reminders and tags.
  • Card scans: photos of business cards and the text read from them. Photos are deleted after 30 days unless you keep them with the contact.
  • Visitors: when a profile is opened, the city (from the IP address), device type and time. Visitors’ details only if they choose to send them.
  • Teams: team membership, roles, admin actions and seat use.
  • Cards: Card and tag IDs, which profile each opens, who set it up and when, and delivery details.
  • Payments: plan, invoices and payment references. Our payment provider holds card numbers; we do not.
  • AI: AI results, scores, suggestions, Credits used and corrections you make.
  • Technical: IP address, device, app version, logs and crash reports.
  • Location: only if you allow it, for features that record where you met someone.

P3. Why we use it

To run your account and profile; to make NFC, QR and Cards work; to provide contact and relationship features; to provide AI features you switch on; to take payments; to give support; to keep Linkist secure and prevent misuse; to improve Linkist using combined or anonymised data; to send service messages; to send marketing if you agree; and to meet legal duties.

We use your data because: we need it to provide the service you signed up for; you have agreed (for example, marketing, AI features, contact import, location and analytics cookies); we must by law; or, where your local law allows it, we have a genuine business reason that does not override your rights (such as security). In countries where the law does not accept a genuine business reason, we rely on your agreement or another reason that local law allows.

P5. Your choices

We ask separately for each optional use, and you can use Linkist without agreeing to them. You can change your choices at any time in Settings > Privacy or by emailing privacy@linkist.ai.

P6. AI and added information

AI features are off until you switch them on. When on, they may add public business information to contacts, summarise, score and suggest. Each result shows how confident it is and why. Less certain results are saved only if you accept them. We do not use AI to make decisions that seriously affect people. Information about companies may be reused for all users; information about individuals is not. Anyone can ask us not to add AI information about them (see P7).

P7. If someone saved your details in Linkist

A Linkist user may have saved your details, for example after you exchanged cards. That user is responsible for having a fair reason to do so. We do not sell these details, send you marketing, or send you automatic invitations. You can email privacy@linkist.ai to ask us to: tell you what AI information we added about you; delete it and not add more in future; correct it; or pass your request to the user.

P8. Who we share data with

We never sell personal data. We share it only with: the service providers listed at linkist.ai/legal/providers (hosting, payments, email and SMS, AI, card printing and delivery, support and security), who may use it only to help us run Linkist; your company, if you use the Teams plan (team data only); apps you choose to connect or export to; advisers and authorities where the law requires; and a company that takes over Linkist, under this policy.

P9. Moving data between countries

Our service providers may be in other countries. When data moves between countries, we use the protections the law requires, such as data protection agreements and encryption.

P10. How long we keep data

DataHow long
Account, profile and contactsWhile your account is open, then up to 30 days
Team contactsWhile the team is active, then 30 days for download
Card scan photos30 days, unless you keep them

AI results about peopleUp to 6 months unless refreshed, or until you delete them
Payments and invoicesAs long as tax and accounting law requires

Security logsUsually up to 12 months

P11. Your rights

You can ask to see, download, correct or delete your data, stop or limit some uses, object to marketing or profiling, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country. Use Settings > Privacy or email privacy@linkist.ai. We may need to confirm who you are. We reply within 30 days, or sooner if your local law requires.

P12. Security

We use encryption, access controls, secure login, activity logs and monitoring, and we check our service providers. No system is perfectly secure. Please keep your login safe.

P13. Children

Linkist is for people aged 18 and over. If we learn we hold a child’s data, we delete it.

P14. Data breaches

If there is a data breach, we will act quickly to contain it and tell the authorities and the people affected where the law requires.

P15. Changes

We will tell you about significant changes before they apply, and ask for your agreement again where needed.
